Paul Asi Taulava and Team Pilipinas - FTW

I'm not posting this for Asi Taulava nor for the Team Pilipinas. But I'm rooting for them to advance for the World Championship and I'm posting before the FIBA Asia Quarterfinals begin.

Asi Taulava played the Center position for the RP5 Powerade Team-Pilipinas. I believe it is his 3rd time to join the Team Philippines. He's the tallest among cagers. He's the biggest too. At 6'9 he can not match the opponent's center standing 7 foot and above. But he's the veteran in the lineup.

He will not put the 20-10 on the scorer's table, not because he's not getting any younger at 36 yrs old but because he played team basketball. He will not shoot the classic fade away jump shot that will send the crowd and his teammates into frenzy. He's not versatile big man that has a touch on the three point lane. Or make riduculous summersault layup and breath taking dunk - in his size that's unimaginable.

What does he bring in the International competition? He's leadership. At his bulky size he can put the team on his shoulder. How Ironic? He's been there twice. He see's all the mistakes that have happened on his own and he learned it - but not the hard way. He knows the International rules. The in-and-out of the defense and offense playing under International rule. They can banged bodies. Hand-checking foul was not a foul. He also knows most of his rivals, China, Iran, Jordan, Korea. He knows who's the gunner and maybe who's not.
He see what kind of play that will make a team win in FIBA.

He's showing how hard he played against taller opponent to the younger generation who might played for the same competition. Showing the Straight-up defense. He's showing the importance of defense and not relying too much on offense, makes you frustrated, to beat a team. One-on-one in offense can't make a team succesful. He sacrificed a lot to play for the country for the third time, but I can't tell how much.

Coach Yeng, albeit it always the coach who gets the blamed when the team lost, let Asi took the floor while he is inside the game. It might work.

Again Asi you are 36 yrs old and it might your last FIBA appearance, so why not go FTW.

I'm thinking How to monetize blog recently. I will put some extra serious effort here on my selected blog.

Since I'm rooting for Boston Celtics in the Nba. I applied it here in my blog what they did, only the obvious part, but not literally. It's year of 1998 when the celtics drafted Paul Pierce out of Kansas. It was a signed to revive the lost dynasty in NBA. Since the departure of the Original Trio Parish-Bird-McHale Boston never been into the Finals and never won a Championship. So when Paul Pierce came, everybody says he will bring the glory days of the Celtics. But it was on his sophomore year when he earned his starting position(please correct me on this,if wrong). The following and the succeeding years, Boston became a NBA contender. Making it to the playoffs, past the first round, past second round, and one stunning performance a classic 4th quarter came from behind win against New Jersey. After that Boston showed a lackluster team. It seems Pierce was not good to be a franchise player or the players that Boston built around him do not fit with him. Rumored was circulated that Pierce wanted to be traded or Boston wanted to trade him. Either way it was only rumored. Why? In 2008, Boston became serious to regain the throne as the NBA champ. They acquired Kevin Garnett from Minnesota Timberwolves and Ray Allen from Seattle where they became 2008 NBA Champion.

This is where my blog goes in. I drafted a blog then select a site monetization type. Build around google adsense on the site. Then read thru forums how to monetize your site picked those you can really do. Installed sitemeter to monitor the track, if the number is going up the method is working. Basically, I chosen two techniques. One for site promotion, then one for gaining links and visitors from other site. Both risky, because I wasn't sure of the links coming from. Anyway this monitizing effort method from me is a trial and error, just like building around Pierce where you put pieces into a championship material then remove if it does not fit and replace a new one, and base on the articles I've read it can last up to 1 month in my NBA Example it took them years-but its sweeter.

If something good pop up in my adsense account, I'll tell what method did I use.

This is an awareness post. A copy of LTO-AO-AHS-2008-015 was released which not different from the Republic act, besides the hunting of modified parts.. Then there's still a debate. What else do they need?

As usual, motorcycle owners like me would be affected. Especially, those with smaller displacement bike which is being modified frequently. On the manufacturer's side modification is critical to them. They do not want to see their design being modified into another design that would make look another bike, a look which is not different to their competitors product. Headlight, tail lights, side mirror, handle bar, rim and spinnin and spinnin etc etc. I believe that is EGO in management. If the government are serious about the modified parts go after the seller not us.

In any law or rules that need to be implemented. All must obey it. Especially those who are pursuing it. If there's anybody from the "law-makers" can not comply, that is acting above the law, then there must be a powerplay. ;)

If I may add, bike owners would put every modified parts that will enhance the bike performance and looks. Spending up to the last peso in their pocket just to satisfy them! Where will you see a bike that is running in a road with the stereo on, with the tune of Hypnotized, but nobody can hear it? :D

Details to follow, including budgetary and mode of donation(for outreach), once venue and activities are finalized, however, we intend to follow this sequence:

xplorer philippines ride 2008

I mentioned on my previous post that I will make a post regarding my latest ride going North. - Bagac, Bataan. I was really looking for only one north loop this year then I cool down on riding.

Just a quick note. The trip was to commemorate the 3dr year of existence of the motorcycle club called the Xplorer Philippines and in line with it is to elect new officials. The celebration was held at Bagac, Bataan last April 26-27 2008.

Moving along let me start with the ride. The straight ride/road was the test of the speed for the bike. It was my first time to see my bike on overrev. I trailed my "distant uncle" a.k.a sir Jerom1, cruising at 100kph if I remember it correctly. As of these trailing, both of us just left from the "crime scene" where one of our fellow buddy had his front sprocket failed. Then we need to catch up to group ahead of us, as agreed upon, so the plan won't be delayed. Anyhow, in lunchtime the group got altogether. On the twisties, I'd like to relate what Chauncey Billups said "It ain't rough, It ain't right". In twisties, I really don't know what lies ahead. Thats what make it rough. Wet Road? Road obstacles like Oil, potholes on the road, animal crossing? I don't get complacent on skill set that I develop from Marilaque rides because Bataan is a different route. Thats why it is rough. It was fun at the Mt. Samat even the road. At one point, I was in the middle of the group alone - I make sure no one will be able to see me. Then I intentionally swaying my bike leaning left and right. And that's what make it right. Then going home was another different experience - night mode without my eyeglasses. Everybody was making sure no one got out of the track. Then at 11pm I got home safely. Well, this is just me, blogging.

At the "inuman session" they mentioned about the sponsorship, I assume it must come from the Eastworld. If I'm not mistaken Eastworld is the distributor of Xplorer z200. This is my very simple take on why should the Xplorer Philippines must got an sponsorship. Our bike is their product. The simple way to understand this is Xplorer Philippines is much of a "rolling advertisement". The group go to different places. Their brand got seen on the road by many people. People if they have chance curiously ask about the bike then I/we response. In marketing the "ultimate experience/s" is/are convincing(i forgot the link). I even blog about it. Z200 was tested in terms of durability when it hit 340 kms in just one day then it will run again the next day. But again it's only me, blogging.

i wasn't able to update my blog lately. busy in work i guess or i can't collect ideas to create a concrete post. sometimes i got ideas in my head and when the i try to write it down it quickly gone. so what i did is to find anything on the bike and try to make a post out of it.

i notice my bike's mileage hits the 11k. and like what other riders say a bike that doesn't reach a place is nothing(i forgot the proper saying the one that has an impact sablayin kasi ako ). in the span of 1 1/2 years my bike hits 11k in kilometers reading and if i compare to other bike it may seem less. when i bought this bike i thought only of using it as my day to day travel from home and office. but beyond that i found myself driving and bunking wild in the twisties in Marilaque. i was able to go at Calirana, which is located inside the man-made Caliraya Lake. discover different route in province, mostly south and once going north(i will make post about my north ride). the cavite-batangas-laguna-rizal trip was definitely fun ride! and the ride buddies there were great. in this group i learn how really to drive. not just shifting gears, turn left, turn right more than that is the attitude when driving. a good attitude(bawal and mainitin). every rider needs it and every riders knew that half of our life are already six feet under, we are exposed in the danger of the road not having the right attitude makes us one-miss-we-die. to all the riders in xphils thanks sa ride - to kabobek who inspire me on bikes upgrade, arco_72(the best spearhead), mitlancer_gsr(for the points sa joke), dj_monyo(astig s4 mo), mam teth(sa company for watching the drag race)mang Vic(lupet mo magpatawa), vp_alexis(thanks sa bag), overdose1(thanks sa mga gears), geraldo_3(thanks for allowing for the first group ride), bushwacker, freewayjammer, George(sa mga pics at dslr XP) jerom1(for assistance and guidance na pabulong and "distant uncle" pala kita) and dami niyo pa. :)

on a lighter side i was able to bring it to outing and playing basketball (i wasn't able to play due to my ankle injury). again thanks to everybody for fun and basketball from MCP, marvin , coach bong, d'8, mrChris, an2ny_alcantara and CSV- Diño jun&nori(sayang ang aso wahaha), joel(nice coach) and dave, lezo(sa recipe), rd&jeanne(wag niyo ako ipahiya sa pagiging co-maker hehe), Tata(praktis ka pa mag-parking), at sa lahat ng nakasama ko sa Burol sa Batangas. =)

lastly my bike is my service whenever there is sse32 gatherings shouts out to genevieve, aiza, karleen, gazelle, aileen, michelle, she, mark, rc, dustin, benedict, martin, neri, arman, lester. Thank you for the every invite, hindi nyo kinakalimutan. kung puwede ko lang kayo iangkas ng sabay-sabay gagawin ko para makabawi.^_^

Back Protecter is a gear that is important when rding out of Manila. In my previous rides last year in Marilaque during holiday and vacation on Calirana I dont have this gear maybe becasue I'm a beginner. I still don't know the importance of it. But now that I have this I use it everytime I go to long ride so if I slide(accidentally) hindi masyado masakit.

Found this video of Marilaque on youtube. This road is popular to the motorcycle community because of the curves on the track. Curves is equal to bunking. Marilaque was part of the Rizal Province, according to the conversation that I had with riders and the "Ynarez" painted waiting shed. Nothing spectacular in this place but you can see the beauty of the Sierra Madre Mountain. They usually take breakfast at Pranjetto hills and holidays are great time to take a ride there.

For those on four wheels/using cage it can be a great ride too maraming lover's turn^^

I decided to write down this here in my blog because - one it is my personal opinion and two the thread was closed "_^. My opinions can be about use of the internet or anything under the sun.

Someone post a thread at MCP forums at Citizen Patrol[thread was moved into this section daw] entitled Wag ganyan OVERDOSE....part 1 of 8. Was it true? Any intentions? Was it a personal attack or simply business? I don't know. Then If I don't know the answer why am I still writing about it. It will be waste of my time,right?. Besides it was happen a few days ago, why I can't just keep on myself. Maybe I like wasting my time. In fact, I always do what I shouldn't do. Like don't drink and forget your license, hehe. Unless someone told me something to do and telling it is worthwhile doing it.

Back to topic, upon reading the thread I noticed it was a Déjà vu. The same flame thread was already created using a another handle name. I'm not sure about the date. Another was the thread starter admitted it was posted using another handle name. Maybe It wasn't settled before outside the forums. Lastly, It tooks days before it was closed. Clearly, the initial post seems to be malicious from there it can be closed or ban the handle name. Before I forgot Overdose was a seller at MCP. Overdose was a handle name. I knew him in person but not too personal. I bought a apparels or two to him. Just to give you an idea what kind of business he's into, visit his multiply account here. On-line presence can boost your business. Not the type of business that has investment of millions. A start-up business can work over multiply account. The hobby as a seller-freelance-type of person can use a multiply account to display their products and services.

Then to topic again, I believe that thread have an intentions. Maybe to put down the seller or the products or get a sympathy sales? It was hard to tell who's the culprit because I don't know who's on the other side. Just like on the newspapers and Televisions and even text messages and on the Internet- blogs and in this case,forums we can not simply believe what we have just read or watched. It can be a make-up story. A show, a show business. But I think that the best tool if you want to send a message to somebody was thru music. Hmm...Ask Carlos Agassi. Having a lawsuit against a music album? It was long time ago when occured but still the album was heavy. He took it to heart. If he want to fight back he could make his own music and grab the mic and throw every letters of your song to Krazykyle. Dont chose a lawsuit. And if you want International artists you can look way back '96 the legendary Notorius BIG versus Tupac Shakur. But if it is a show business ask the new DTC and the Rapskallion. Knowing the products of the seller it was more of his works. Just like any product ready in the market it can not be flawless. But the seller was very into his costumers, he just don't sell he consult his buyer. I'm not cheering for him because I found some of his products are not cheap. In that case I find alternative seller. But being expensive on his other products are understandable. His products are his own projects. Doing a projects are not cheap. Remember the school days "mommy pahingi ng pera para sa project". Labor and material$ are not cheap today.

One way of spending holiday was to hit the road. Ninoy’s death symbolizes freedom and I presume riding was one too, in fact it makes a rider that I’m certain I wouldn’t be. Everybody is equal. Everybody on the ride was on two wheels. Everybody was leading and following. Everyone’s ride was in dirt. Everyone gets tired and hungry. But no one was complaining about it.

Here's what to do list when you are on a ride:

Eat. Breakfast.
Breathe some fresh air.
Recharge with positive vibes.
Have fun.
